This is BMW's latest variant. This OEM Rein blower motor resistor (or Final Stage Unit, FSU) is a direct replacement for the stock unit. If the HVAC fan cuts in and out, works on only one speed or does not work at all, a failed FSU is the likely issue. Replacement is pretty straight forward and can be done by most DIY'ers in just a couple hours.
