Rear shock mounts are a well known point of frustration for many BMW enthusiasts. Failed rear shock mounts can generally be identified by audible clunking coming from the rear suspension during low speed maneuvers. Fortunately, there are solutions. For those not wanting to step up to the AKG Urethane Rear Shock Mounts we carry, OEM E46 M3 rear shock mounts are the next best thing. Conveniently, the E46 M3 mounts can be used on all E30, E36, E46, E85 and E86 models as an upgrade without compromising comfort. Of course, these are also a direct replacement for the E46 M3. The difference between this kit and our standard OEM rear shock mount upgrade kit is that once installed, the mounts can be removed from underneath the car. This is an incredibly useful feature when it comes time for rear shock replacement or quickly adjusting the dampening on standard Koni Yellow shocks.E46 convertibles may require trimming of the reinforcement plate.
