OEM Hella oil level sender with o-ring.
The yellow oil level warning light on the dash comes on when (not surprisingly) the oil level is low. The oil level is monitored by this oil level sender. When the sender fails it can cause false readings, tripping the yellow oil level warning light. An intermittent oil level warning light when the oil level is within normal range is an indication of a bad oil level sender.
Replacing the oil level sender is not difficult but does require the oil to be drained from the engine. 3 10mm nuts hold the sender into the bottom of the oil pan. A simple DIY when paired with an oil change.
