This is BMW's latest designed blower motor resistor (or Final Stage Unit, FSU) Direct replacement for the stock unit. If the HVAC fan cuts in and out, works on only one speed or does not work at all, a failed FSU is the likely issue. Replacement is pretty straight forward and can be done by most DIY'ers in just a couple hours.
