Replacement oil filter housing gasket and mount for all M44 and late M42 engines with the plastic oil filter housing cap.
One of the most common leaks on all M44 and M42 engines is the oil filter housing where it meets the lower timing cover. In addition to the gasket the M44 oil filter housing is sealed to the engine by a plastic mount (check valve) with two o-rings. This kit includes both a Genuine BMW mount and an OEM Goetez gasket.
We suggest doing this job in conjunction with an oil change in order to keep the mess to a minimum.
