Rear shock mounts are a well-known point of frustration for many BMW enthusiasts. Failed rear shock mounts can generally be identified by audible clunking coming from the rear suspension during low-speed maneuvers. Fortunately, there are solutions. For those not wanting to step up to the AKG Urethane Rear Shock Mounts we carry, this kit is the next best thing. The toughest mounts BMW used came on the E46 M3. Conveniently, the E46 M3 mounts can be used on all E30, E36, E46, E85 and E86 models as an upgrade without compromising comfort. Of course, these are also a direct replacement for the E46 M3. E46 convertibles may require trimming of the reinforcement plate.
