This upper expansion tank hose goes between the expansion tank and the radiator. The hose is comprised of both a rubber portion and a hard plastic portion. The plastic portion of the hose is the usual failure point, becoming brittle over time and heat cycles. We recommend a 90,000 mile replacement interval on this hose.
